Graduated in Image and Sound from the Complutense University of Madrid, Dionisio Naranjo began his career at the Leo Burnett Madrid as a producer, where he worked on accounts such as McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Procter & Gamble, Visa, Fiat, Phillip Morris and Orange. His experience producing campaigns of high creative quality and filming with the best filmmakers of the moment led him to make the leap into direction. His works have been awarded at Cannes, Art Directors Club New York, London International Awards, El Sol, Ojo de Iberoamérica, FIAP.
Dionisio tells stories, sometimes from a stylized narrative, and other times from a realistic style, always maintaining the personal, sincere and emotional as a hallmark. In his work, simplicity and honesty are at the service of emotion, giving the stories their own soul.
His camera is instinctive, creating immersive scenes in which the viewer becomes a participant. The narrative and the the different registers he obtains form actors are one of his major strengths, allowing him to easily fluctuate between refined humor and more absurd and simplistic approaches.
